Any day spent at gorgeous Kaneohe Bay is an excellent day, so take advantage of the opportunity. Kaneohe Bay is an inlet made up of five mini islands totaling about 7,500 acres. It's also the largest sheltered body of water among the main islands, despite its tiny size. It was also the location for the long-running television show "Gilligan's Island."

Kaneohe Bay is perhaps best recognized for its golf courses, aside from this piece of pop culture knowledge. It is home to several, including some of the country's most difficult 18-hole courses. The military also runs many, including the Leilehua Golf Course and the Walter J. Nagorski Course. The Army owns and operates both, and both are open to the public.
